Our Customers Recommend Us...
"We are eager to recommend Ed Major and his company, MP&G Machine and Design, Inc. to anyone considering their services. Since 2002, Ed and his staff have demonstrated professional, consistent, and timely service. Although we are a smaller account, MP&G has shown we are just as important as their larger accounts.
They are very knowledgeable, innovative and happy to provide a lot of “extra” service that most other companies would refuse to do. And, they provide only the services you need. Their particular awareness for safety while working onsite is another key aspect of our successful relationship with Ed and his crew. In our view, with many other machine services in the area, MP&G stands alone and is the only business to consider."

"My name is Kevin Strong, I have been the Mechanical Leader for the P&G Pearl production platform since its inception 6 years ago, and throughout that period it has been my pleasure to work closely with MP&G throughout each of our production line start-ups. MP&G has been our supplier of preference for component manufacturing and modification to support our start-up activities; they have continued to show great flexibility and quality in response to our often urgent needs. I can rely on them to manufacture quality parts to print but also be responsive to modifications only supported by drawing mark-ups and in some cases requests with no support documentation. I have found great benefit in their Engineering and Design capability which often allows support above and beyond simple part manufacture. I continue to utilize their strong capabilities and have no problem recommending them to other businesses that can also benefit from their extensive skill set."
- Kevin Strong, Mechanical Lead Engineer, Proctor & Gamble
"As a Manufactured Parts Buyer for over 20 years, I am very pleased to recommend MP&G Machine & Design as a potential supplier for your company. I have worked with Ed Major since 1995, beginning with his employment at Met-Craft, right through to the present at MP&G Machine & Design.
Ed is one of the most professional and thorough persons I have ever dealt with in my years of purchasing machined components and have always been willing and eager to take on the challenging work that I have presented him. He is the vendor who will find a way to do what others say they cannot do. All the employees at his company pay special attention to detail. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding and delivery schedules are seldom missed.
MP&G Machine & Design’s hard work and commitment is a critical asset to our company. They are a pleasure to do business with and come highly recommended."
- Ann Poitras, Manufactured Products Buyer, Lanco Assembly Systems
"In my previous roles as Maintenance Line Planner and Breakdown System Owner at Proctor and Gamble’s Auburn, Maine/Tambrands plant I have worked with MP&G on many occasions since the day they started business. To this day I’m still involved with MP&G as the Storeroom manager for Tambrands P&G. Ed Major is a very responsible individual that will make what the customer wants and do it with Quality in mind. Many a time his company would go out of their way to get us out of a jam so it would not shut our production down. MP&G delivers on time with quality in mind for the hundreds of stock SAP components and all of our manufactured assemblies they are responsible for at our facility. Issues are usually resolved quickly. I remember in my prior roles going to MP&G and talking with Ed Major on difficult projects and the feeling of relief when he said “ Yeah, I can do that” and he did. This company also helped us in figuring ways to make something work better, redesign, and information on better materials to use. MP&G is a qualified Machine shop that I strongly recommend to our engineering department and yours."
